The National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD), in partnership with the Alliance for Housing Justice, the National Housing Law Project, and the National Low Income Housing Coalition, recently posted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) National Eviction Moratorium Declaration in 18 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) languages so that AAPI community members can understand and benefit from the moratorium in order to stay housed for the time being. Tenants must submit the CDC declaration in order to avoid eviction because they cannot pay rent. The CDC issued an Order on September 4 establishing a temporary eviction moratorium, which ends on December 31, 2020.
