The Opportunity Starts at Home (OSAH) campaign participated in a webinar hosted by the Food Research & Action Center, an OSAH campaign partner, on November 16. Focusing on housing instability as a primary cause of hunger, the webinar drew attention to the intersections of hunger and housing instability, surveyed research from the Eviction Lab on the connections between evictions and decreased Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participation, identified key housing policies that promote equity, and explored opportunities for food security advocates to engage in housing advocacy. More than 100 food security advocates attended the online event. Watch a recording of the webinar here.
